Albert D. Kirby, Jr. has dedicated nearly four decades to the pursuit of justice, serving the North Carolina legal system from almost every possible vantage point. Since beginning his legal practice in 1987, he has built a distinguished career as a prosecutor, defense attorney, educator, judge, and minister—giving him an unparalleled understanding of the law and a deep empathy for the people it serves.

Today, based in Clinton, NC, his practice focuses on protecting the rights of individuals through plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, criminal defense, and workers’ compensation.

Long before entering the courtroom, Albert Kirby developed the work ethic, resilience, and teamwork that define his practice today. He attended Wake Forest University on a full football scholarship, competing at the highest level of collegiate athletics. He carried that same drive into his legal education, graduating from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law before launching his legal career.
